1 Hospitalized after Car Accident on Foothill Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga

 
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (December 12, 2022) – A woman sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Foothill Freeway, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, the incident happened on December 8, at about 3:41 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle crashed and blocked the HOV lane.
 
A short time later, another vehicle crashed into the disabled vehicle. The impact of the collision trapped a woman in the wreckage.
 
Responders took about 20 minutes to extricate the victim. Then, an ambulance transported the woman to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
As per reports, both vehicles sustained severe damage.
 
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
