CHULA VISTA, CA (January 23, 2023) – A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at F Street and Garrett Avenue in Chula Vista on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. on January 18. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the woman was walking at the intersection when a white work van with a top mounted boom struck her.
 
First responders found the woman unresponsive. They began life-saving measures on the victim until fire personnel took her to a trauma center with several serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver fled the scene after the crash.
 
No suspect information was immediately available. An investigation is underway.
