VISALIA, CA (January 23, 2023) – A woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Jacob Street, Thursday evening.
 
According to the Visalia Police Department, the incident happened on January 19, at about 6:45 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a northbound vehicle hit the pedestrian near the intersection of Goshen Avenue.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Authorities did not release the victim’s name or updates on her condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
