Three-Vehicle Crash on Harris Road Leaves One Driver Dead

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 31, 2024) – A woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Harris Road in Bakersfield late Wednesday afternoon on March 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:00 p.m. in the 6300 block of Harris Road. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a man was driving a black Volkswagen west when he veered into eastbound lanes. He then struck a red Honda and a black Mini Cooper.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman driving the Honda suffered significant injuries and died while being transported to the hospital.
 
Two women in the Mini Cooper refused medical assistance.
 
As of Thursday, no one was arrested.
 
An investigation is ongoing. Police indicated drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
