Woman Killed in Rollover Accident on 40 Freeway near Essex Road [Essex, CA]

Fatal Rollover Crash on 40 Freeway in Essex, 1 Dead and 1 Injured

 
ESSEX, CA (May 31, 2022) – A woman died in a rollover accident on 40 Freeway in Essex early Monday morning, May 30.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:35 a.m. just west of Essex Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on the freeway when it overturned and landed in the center divider.
 
First responders found a female occupant in the vehicle with no pulse and unresponsive. They attempted life-saving aid, but the woman died at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, another person was injured in the crash.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the accident to determine the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
