Woman Dies after Struck by 2 Vehicles near Industrial Boulevard in Chula Vista

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (January 30, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident near Industrial Boulevard and Palomar Street in Chula Vista on Thursday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:43 p.m. on January 26, near the Palomar Trolley Station. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the woman was walking in the area when a black Toyota Corolla struck her.
 
The woman was thrown to the eastbound lane of Palomar near the trolley tracks. A white Scion also hit her while she was lying in the roadway. She died at the scene.
 
Both drivers stopped after the crash and cooperated with police.
 
Alcohol or drug impairment was not believed to be a factor in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
