Pedestrian Suffers Fatal Injuries after Struck by Merced Police Vehicle at G and 14th Streets

 
MERCED, CA (April 11, 2022) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at G Street and 14th Street in Merced, late Thursday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on April 7. According to the Merced Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when an on-duty Merced police officer struck her.
 
As result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
