Woman Dies after Hit by Pickup Truck on Blackstone Avenue in North Fresno
FRESNO, CA (July 15, 2022) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Blackstone Avenue in North Fresno early Thursday, July 14.
The fatal accident happened just after midnight at the intersection with Ashlan Avenue. According to the Fresno Police Department, the woman was in the center median when she stepped out into traffic, right into the path of a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup could not avoid the woman and struck her.
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
Northbound traffic along Blackstone was closed for the investigation. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
