Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Watt Avenue in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 28, 2023) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Watt Avenue near the 80 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian crash happened around 9:05 p.m. Wednesday.
 
For an unknown reason, a driver of a 2011 black Lexus GS350 fled the scene after hitting a female at a high rate of speed. Moments later, officers responded to the scene and rendered life-saving measures on the victim. However, she passed away at a hospital.
 
Officials did not release her name. Authorities will look into this crash further to identify the factors leading to this crash. However, if anyone has information on the suspect or the vehicle with the license plate of 9ELX700 and likely has collision damage, please call the CHP.
