Woman Pushing Walker Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Martin Luther King Jr. South LA
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (January 4, 2024) – A 61-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Gramercy Place.
The fatal crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on December 23. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the woman was pushing a walker when she was struck by a white sedan traveling westbound on MLK Boulevard.
After the crash, driver did not stop and sped away before emergency crews arrived.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she later died. Her identity has not yet been released.
The city is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
