28-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Century Boulevard in Inglewood

 
INGLEWOOD, CA (September 25, 2023) – A woman was killed in hit-and-run crash on Century Boulevard in Inglewood Friday morning on September 22.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:09 a.m. at Maple Avenue. According to the Inglewood Police Department, the 28-year-old woman was walking in the area when a sedan struck her.
 
After striking her, the driver of the car fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Arriving officers found the woman lying on the roadway. They rushed her to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
 
The woman’s identity was not immediately available. Police said she is a resident of the Lennox community in the South Bay area.
 
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect. They described the sedan as a gray Dodge Challenger with tinted windows. It is believed to have front-end damage due to the hit-and-run impact.
