Woman Killed in Head-On Accident on Highway 132 near River Road [Modesto, CA]

Head-On Crash with Big Rig on Highway 132 in Modesto Kills 46-Year-Old Woman

 
MODESTO, CA (January 21, 2024) – A woman was killed in a head-on accident on Highway 132 in Modesto Friday evening on January 19.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:00 p.m. just west of River Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a 2011 BMW sedan westbound on the highway when she entered the eastbound lane. She then collided head-on with a big rig with tank trailer, driven by 58-year-old Alexander Patrice of Santa Rosa.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only identified her as a 46-year-old Modesto resident.
 
Patrice was unharmed.
 
It is unknown at this time if intoxication was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
