Woman Dead in Cupertino DUI Crash on 280 Freeway

 
CUPERTINO, CA (May 17, 2021) — A woman died in a DUI accident on the 280 Freeway near Wolfe Road Saturday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m. on the northbound freeway. Upon arrival, police found two cars off the road, one of which had been unoccupied.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a Nissan Altima had slammed into a tree and its female passenger had died at the scene. The driver, a man, suffered major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
Shortly after, police officers found the driver of the Nissan Sentra an hour later and arrested him for DUI. At this time, detectives have much to investigate. Yet, if anyone has more information on this crash, please contact the CHP.
