Man Dies in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Fruit Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (May 17, 2021) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Fruit Avenue near Dayton Avenue Saturday night.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a man ran into the street and was hit by an oncoming car. Per reports, the driver tried to serve to avoid the crash, but efforts fell short.
 
As a result of the accident, the man died from his injuries. Following the crash, the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with police questioning. At this time, authorities plan to investigate if DUI played a role.
