Passenger Dies after Car Crashes into Parked Truck on Dennison Street in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (September 5, 2022) – A 40-year-old woman died and a 3-year-old boy was injured in a car accident on Dennison Street in East Oakland on Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 12:12 p.m. on September 3. According to the Oakland Police Department, a Chevrolet Impala veered and crashed into a parked truck in the 1900 block of Dennison Street.
 
The woman was in the right front seat and the child was seat-belted in a rear car seat, police said.
 
The woman died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
 
Paramedics rushed the 35-year-old male driver and the child to hospitals. Both are now in stable condition.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Police encouraged anyone with further information to contact traffic investigators at 510-777-8572.
