Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Vehicle on East Washington Street in Colton

 
COLTON, CA (December 20, 2023) – A woman was killed in a bicycle accident at East Washington Street and Santo Antonio Drive in Colton on Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:10 p.m. on December 17. According to the Colton Police Department, the woman was riding her bicycle when a vehicle struck her at the intersection.
 
First responders rendered aid to the victim, but she died at the scene.
 
Authorities only identified the woman as a 30-year-old Colton resident. They withheld her name pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the officers.
 
The Colton Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) is handling the investigation. They asked anyone with further information to contact Officer Villalobos at 909-370-5000.
