Two Cars Collide on Highway 74 in Lake Elsinore Injuring One Person

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (May 31, 2023) – A woman was injured in a two-car accident on Highway 74 in unincorporated Lake Elsinore Monday evening on May 29.
 
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 34400 block of Ortega Highway at Rocky Road. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, a sedan and an SUV collided for unknown reasons.
 
Responding firefighters used hydraulic tools to free the woman from one of the cars.
 
An air ambulance then took the woman to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
The crash also caused major damage on both cars.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
