SHASTA COUNTY, CA (April 22, 2024) — A woman suffered major injuries after a trailer detached from a truck and crashed into a business on Deschutes Road near Balls Ferry Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol Redding office, the crash happened around 4:00 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a flatbed trailer detached from a truck traveling on Deschutes Road. Subsequently, the trailer traveled to a nearby business and struck the building, injuring a woman inside.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and took the patient to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries.
