WATSONVILLE, CA (January 3, 2023) — A woman was injured in a plane crash at the Watsonville Airport near Buena Vista Drive Sunday afternoon.
 
According to Watsonville City officials, the plane accident happened around 3:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a woman, the only occupant of the aircraft, crashed at the Watsonville airport in Santa Cruz County.
 
Soon after, California Highway Patrol officers responded and closed Buena Vista Drive from Calabasas Road to Freedom Boulevard. The woman suffered moderate injuries but is expected to be okay.
