UKIAH, CA (October 17, 2022) — A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident on State Street near Lake Mendocino Drive on Friday.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened around 6:07 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a Ford Escape struck the woman in front of Forks Market. Due to the crash, the victim sustained injuries that required hospital care.
 
Soon after, California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene to investigate. They confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol played a factor in the accident. However, an investigation into the circumstances should identify the leading cause and liabilities.
