Woman Hurt in Napa Pedestrian Crash at Jefferson Street

 
NAPA, CA (March 1, 2022) — A woman suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident at Jefferson Street and El Capitan Way on Thursday afternoon.
 
According to police, the pedestrian crash happened around 3:56 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a woman driving a BMW X5 eastbound on El Capitan Way struck the female pedestrian, who was crossing northbound on Jefferson Street.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought the critically injured victim to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the BMW driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators who subsequently ruled out alcohol and drugs as a possible explanation.
