IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (February 7, 2022) — A woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on 13th Street near Donax Avenue on Friday afternoon.
 
According to San Diego Sheriff’s Lt. David LaDieu, the accident happened around 2:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver struck a woman pushing a baby in a stroller.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and found the injured woman on the ground and a bystander holding the child. Due to the nature of her injuries, emergency personnel brought her to a San Diego hospital for treatment while the driver stayed at the scene for the investigation.
 
The child escaped injury in the crash, reports noted.
