Woman Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 8 Freeway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 23, 2022) — A woman was hit and killed by a car on the 8 Freeway near Presidio Park early Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 12:26 am. For unknown reasons, a woman was walking on the eastbound freeway lanes.
 
Subsequently, a Subaru sedan – driven by a 24-year-old man – struck the woman.
 
Due to the accident, the woman suffered fatal injuries. Yet police do not know if alcohol played a role on her part.
 
As for the Subaru driver, he stayed at the scene and received care for his minor injuries. Police do not suspect alcohol on his part, but an investigation into the details should confirm what happened.
