SALINAS, CA (November 6, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident Tuesday morning on Airport Boulevard near Roy Diaz Street.
 
According to reports, the fatal pedestrian crash happened in Salinas. For an unknown reason, a driver struck the female pedestrian, believed to be in her late 30s or 40s. Subsequently, California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene in what appeared to be during dense foggy weather conditions. However, the woman passed away from severe injuries.
 
After the crash, the driver stayed and talked to police investigators who had yet to identify what led to the accident. Thus far, officers have ruled out DUI as a contributing factor.
