Yoltzin Hernandez Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Rancho Santa Fe Road near San Marcos Boulevard

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (November 6, 2024) — Yoltzin Hernandez died in a pedestrian accident on Rancho Santa Fe Road near San Marcos Boulevard.
 
According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a northbound driver approaching San Marcos Boulevard struck the teen crossing the road. Subsequently, emergency personnel responded to the scene near San Marcos High School and took Hernandez to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Since the day of the crash, Hernandez had been on life support until her family made the most difficult decision of letting her go.
 
After the incident, the driver stayed on site and cooperated with police investigators. Authorities did not say what led to the accident, however, but authorities are investigating the crash further.
