HIGHLAND PARK, CA (March 20, 2023) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Aldama Street near Avenue 56.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 8:30 a.m. Friday. Neighbors informed reporters that the woman, who lived on the street and went on daily walks, was crossing the street when the crash happened. For unknown reasons, a driver speeding down the road struck her and did not stop. The woman who was in her 60s suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Officials have yet to release her name.
 
Authorities are looking for a black Chevrolet Tahoe in connection with the fatal incident. If anyone has more information, please call the Los Angeles police.
