Car Hits Pedestrian on Shaw Avenue in Clovis, Causing Critical Injuries

 
CLOVIS, CA (October 26, 2022) – A woman was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Shaw Avenue in Clovis on Saturday morning, October 22.
 
The accident happened around 11:00 a.m. near Villa Avenue, in the Sonic Drive-In parking lot at the Sunflower Marketplace shopping center. According to the Clovis Police Department, the driver of a vehicle made a turn in the parking lot and did not see the woman walking. The driver struck her, trapping her underneath the vehicle.
 
When officers arrived, they found the woman still underneath the vehicle. Fire crews extricated the victim and rushed her to a hospital with critical injuries.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation is underway.
