MIRA MESA, CA (September 16, 2021) – A woman suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident on Mira Mesa Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 3:00 p.m. on September 14, at the intersection with Aderman Avenue. The location is a few blocks east of Camino Santa Fe. According to the San Diego Police Department, the woman was either walking or standing in the area when an unknown vehicle struck her.
 
Paramedics immediately responded and took the woman to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
The involved driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Crews closed Mira Mesa Boulevard in both directions while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
