Woman, Child Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Azusa Avenue in City of Industry

 
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (September 30, 2022) — A woman and a child were injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Azusa Avenue near Gemini Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a man operating a silver Honda Accord ran a red traffic light and struck the pair in the crosswalk. Rather than trying to assist the victims, the driver left the scene without identifying himself.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and took the woman and the child to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
In their investigation, authorities were led to the suspect around 2:30 p.m. The next day, they subsequently booked him into the Sheriff’s Industry station jail.
