UKIAH, CA (November 18, 2022) — Vernon Ross suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident near State Street and Laws Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 5:26 p.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, a 2014 Honda Accord, driven by 31-year-old Janely Martinez struck a person in a motorized wheelchair. Ross, a 68-year-old Ukiah man who was the victim in the wheelchair, suffered major injuries. Upon responding, paramedics ushered him to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
