Uber Passenger Dies in Hit-and-Run, Wrong-Way Crash on Davis Street On-Ramp in San Leandro

 
SAN LEANDRO, CA (December 16, 2022) — An Uber passenger died in a hit-and-run, wrong-way accident on the Davis Street on-ramp at the 880 Freeway Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run collision happened early Sunday as the 31-year-old woman was on her way to work. Under unknown factors, a wrong-way driver crashed into an Uber car at the Davis Street on ramp.
 
An unidentified woman, the passenger, suffered fatal injuries in the collision, and the Uber driver sustained hand injuries. As for the wrong-way driver, that individual left the scene, leaving CHP officers seeking the person’s whereabouts.
