Man Hospitalized in Multi-Car Crash on El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 16, 2022) — A man was injured in a multi-car accident on El Cajon Boulevard near Cherokee Avenue.
 
According to San Diego police officers, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. In the 3600 block of El Cajon Boulevard, a 66-year-old man driving a Toyota Camry was moving at about 70 to 80 miles per hour. Subsequently, his Toyota struck a Mitsubishi Galant ES, driven by a 44-year-old woman, also traveling eastbound.
 
From there, the Camry spun out uncontrollably and struck a parked car before being forced underneath it. In addition, two more parked cars sustained damage.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and took the Camry driver to a hospital with a left and right fractured femur and multiple facial cuts. No one else reported any injuries.
 
At this time, officers do not believe alcohol played a factor, but an ongoing investigation should confirm the reason for the crash.
