Fiery Crash Involving Semi Truck and Two Sedans on Highway 86 in Mecca Leaves 2 Dead

 
MECCA, CA (April 16, 2023) – Two women were killed in a fiery accident on Highway 86 in Mecca Thursday before midnight.
 
The fatal accident happened on April 13, at Avenue 66. According to CalFire, a big rig collided with two Chevrolet sedans, as the three vehicles were traveling in the same direction.
 
One of the sedans rolled over and caught fire, and the big rig came to rest on its side.
 
As a result of the crash, two women suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. A third person was severely injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
 
Two additional patients were evaluated at the scene, but had declined further treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig was unharmed.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
