Car Hits Two Teens Crosswalk in Front Salinas High School

 
SALINAS, CA (January 28, 2024) – Two teenage girls were hit by a car near Salinas High School Thursday morning on January 25.
 
The crash happened around 8 a.m. when the girls were walking to campus. According to the Salinas Police Department, the girls were in the crosswalk when the driver of the car hit them.
 
Paramedics immediately responded and transported the girls to hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
The driver of the car, who was not a student, stopped and cooperated with police.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
