FAIRFIELD, CA (March 29, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries in a five-vehicle crash on 680 Freeway on Monday, March 28.
 
According to the Fairfield Fire Department, fire officials said the incident happened on 680 Freeway near 80 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy Cruise, a Dodge Durango, and a Tesla were among the vehicles involved.
 
CHP officials told a local news source that the Dodge and Tesla had stopped due to traffic. Then the Chevy rear-ended the Tesla before it went off the road.
 
CHP said the driver of the Chevy, a 30-year-old woman, was unresponsive at one point. Medics rushed two people to the hospital.
 
Officials have not identified anyone involved in the crash or released the extent of their injuries.
 
There are no reports if impairment and/or speed played a role in the incident.
