Man and Woman Sustain Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on South Tenth Street in Taft

 
TAFT, CA (November 30, 2023) – Two pedestrians were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on South Tenth Street in Taft late Sunday afternoon on November 26.
 
The crash happened around 5:42 p.m. near Hope Street. According to the Taft Police Department, a man and a woman were crossing South Tenth Street when a dark-colored SUV struck them.
 
After striking them, the vehicle fled northbound.
 
Responding paramedics treated both pedestrians at the scene, before transporting one of them to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Taft police urged witnesses to contact them at 661-763-3101.
