Passengers Dead, Driver Injured in T-Bone Accident on Highway 94 near Campo Road

 
LA MESA, CA (October 19, 2022) — Two passengers died and a driver suffered injuries in a T-Bone crash on Highway 94 on Sunday, October 16.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 7:45 a.m. A 19-year-old man drove a 2014 Chevrolet Spark at a high rate of speed north on Tierra Del Sol. The vehicle had two passengers.
 
CHP said that the Chevrolet failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 94 and Campo Road. Then as it crossed the highway, a westbound 2020 Hyundai Ioniq T-boned it. It slammed into the Chevrolet’s passenger side.
 
Two passengers in the Chevrolet, both 38-year-old men, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Officials have not released their names but reported that they were residents of Mexico.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital. Reports said he is a resident of Paramount in Los Angeles County.
 
The Hyundai driver, a 29-year-old resident of the city of Imperial, north of El Centro, did not sustain any injuries.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol contributed as factors to the incident.
