Head-On Accident on Road 192 in Tulare County Kills 2 Delano Men

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 2, 2021) – Two men were killed in a head-on accident on Road 192 north of Avenue 104 in Tulare County Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:50 a.m. on September 1, just southwest of Porterville. CHP officials said a 25-year-old man and a 78-year-old man from Delano were traveling northbound on Road 192 in a Chevrolet Cavalier. For unknown reasons, their vehicle drifted into southbound lanes. It then collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado.
 
As a result, both Delano men suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The Tulare County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the victims once their family members are properly notified.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Silverado was taken to a Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia with minor to moderate injuries.
 
Drugs and alcohol were not considered to be factors in the crash, which is under investigation.
 
The CHP in Porterville area encouraged witnesses to call them at 559-784-7444.
