Three-Vehicle Accident on Avenue M near 30th Street East Leaves 1 Driver Dead

 
PALMDALE, CA (September 2, 2021) – Tricone Raymond Sanford was killed in a three-vehicle accident in Palmdale Tuesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:11 a.m. on August 31, in the area of Avenue M and 30th Street East. According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, Sanford was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound in the second lane of Avenue M. For unknown reasons, he veered into the first eastbound lane of Avenue M and collided into a 2013 Ford Fiesta.
 
Both vehicles veered into the westbound lanes of Avenue M from the impact. A big rig transporting two trailers of hay then struck the two vehicles.
 
As a result, Sanford sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 44-year-old Lancaster resident, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver of the Ford was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
 
At this time, this fatal accident is under investigation. Sheriff’s deputies asked anyone with further information to call them at 661-272-2400.
