Two Sustained Injuries after Solo-Car Accident on 80 Freeway on Bay Bridge
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 3, 2022) — Two men suffered injuries in a solo-vehicle crash on 80 Freeway on Sunday, May 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck tried to exit 80 Freeway eastbound at Treasure Island. After that, it crashed into a wall shortly after 7:00 a.m.
Paramedics rushed the driver and passenger to San Francisco General Hospital for their injuries. The extent of their condition was not immediately available. Their identities were not released.
According to an initial investigation, it appeared that speed was possibly a factor in the incident. Moreover, the passenger may not have been wearing a seat belt.
Drugs or alcohol did not appear as a factor in the accident.
Officials blocked the Treasure Island off-ramp for more than an hour. All lanes reopened at 8:44 a.m.
