1 Hurt After Stolen Vehicle Crashes During Police Pursuit on 10 Freeway in Palm Desert

 
PALM DESERT, CA (January 21, 2025) — One person was injured after a stolen car crashed during a police chase on the 10 Freeway near Cook Street.
 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to pull over a stolen car around 1:00 p.m. Friday. However, the suspect failed to comply, and a pursuit began near Cesar Chavez and 54th Avenue. The chase took police officers on the westbound Interstate 10 until Cook Street when the suspect crashed into another vehicle.
 
All three suspects in the stolen car were detained, including one who suffered unknown injuries. Fortunately, no one else claimed any injuries in the crash.
 
Due to the accident, California Highway Patrol officers provided traffic control for the westbound lanes. If anyone has more to add to this accident, contact the CHP.
