Speeding Car Crashes into Center Median on Carlson Boulevard in Richmond Killing Two People

 
RICHMOND, CA (January 14, 2024) – Two people died in a high-speed crash at Carlson Boulevard and Florida Avenue in Richmond on Friday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:15 a.m. on January 12. According to the Richmond Police Department, a car was speeding north when it lost control and veered off the roadway. It then crashed into a center median, at least one tree and a pole.
 
When officers arrived, they pronounced two people in the car dead at the scene.
 
The identities of the victims were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved. Further investigation is underway.
