Head-On Crash on Highway 4 in Brentwood Leaves 2 Drivers Dead

 
BRENTWOOD, CA (February 12, 2024) – Two people were killed in a head-on accident on Highway 4 in Brentwood early Saturday morning on February 10.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:30 a.m. just west of Lone Tree Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue Scion TC was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway. At the same time, a black Mazda 3 was traveling eastbound when the cars collided head-on.
 
Contra Costa Fire Department crews responded and pronounced both drivers dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
