Early Morning Fiery Rollover Crash on Highway 99 in Madera Leaves Man and Woman Dead

 
MADERA, CA (August 9, 2021) – Two people died in a fiery rollover accident on Highway 99 in the North Valley area early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 12:40 a.m. on August 7 near Avenue 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car drove off of northbound lanes of Highway 99 and rolled over several times. It then landed onto a nearby field before catching fire.
 
As a result, the man and woman inside the car both died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
Officers said speed did not appear to be a factor in this crash. An investigation is ongoing.
