Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 50 in El Dorado County Hurts 2 Drivers

 
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (October 28, 2022) – Two people were injured in a wrong-way accident on Highway 50 in El Dorado County on Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on October 23. According to the El Dorado County Fire Protection District, the crash involved a sedan and a pickup truck. One of the vehicles was traveling the wrong-way and drove up the Broadway off-ramp. It then collided with another vehicle.
 
As a result of the crash, both drivers sustained minor injuries. One was taken to Marshall Hospital while the other was treated at the scene and then released.
 
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
