Suspected DUI Crash on Lafayette Street in Santa Clara Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
SANTA CLARA, CA (September 6, 2023) – Two people were injured in a suspected DUI crash at Lafayette Street and Bellomy Street in Santa Clara early Saturday morning.
 
The crash happened shortly before 5:45 a.m. September 3. According to the Santa Clara Police Department, a car carrying three people struck a fixed object at the intersection.
 
First responders took two of the three occupants to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Police are still investigating the crash. They added that alcohol appeared to be a factor.
