Sedan Slams into Semi on Airport Boulevard in Riverside Leaving Occupants Trapped and Injured

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 3, 2022) – Two people were injured in a semi truck accident at Airport Boulevard and Arlington Avenue Monday last week.
 
The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on December 27, at the entrance to Riverside Municipal Airport. According to the Riverside Fire Department, a sedan collided with the semi truck for unknown reasons.
 
Responding firefighters found the sedan wedged under the side of the semi’s trailer. They also found two people trapped underneath it.
 
After extricating the victims, paramedics took them to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. One of the two patients was a senior.
 
At this time, the circumstances behind the collision remain under investigation.
