Speeding Car Crashes into Trees on Giant Highway in Richmond Injuring 2 People

 
RICHMOND, CA (May 8, 2023) – Two people were hurt in a high-speed crash on Giant Highway in Richmond late Wednesday evening on May 3.
 
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. at Atlas Road. According to Richmond Firefighters Local 188 crews, the car was likely speeding when it careened off the roadway and struck multiple trees.
 
Upon arrival, fire crews located the mangled car crumpled against a tree.
 
Both passengers were able to safely out of the vehicle and only sustained minor injuries.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
