Early Morning Rollover Crash on 8 Freeway in La Mesa Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
LA MESA, CA (May 2, 2024) – Two people were hospitalized in a rollover accident on 8 Freeway in La Mesa early Tuesday morning on April 30.
 
The accident happened just before 1:30 a.m. along the westbound freeway at the transition ramp of the southbound Highway 125. According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue sedan struck a barrier and overturned on its roof.
 
The two occupants of the sedan were able to get out of the wreckage safely just before an oncoming SUV crashed into it.
 
Responding paramedics took the two patients to a hospital with non-serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the SUV’s driver was unharmed.
 
The crash also briefly shut down the ramp.
