SAN DIEGO, CA (October 12, 2022) – Two drivers sustained injuries after a police pursuit accident on 15 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on October 11 at about 4:40 a.m. Officers reportedly attempted to pull over a sedan for a traffic violation.
 
However, the vehicle failed to stop and entered southbound 15 Freeway at a high rate of speed.
 
The pursuit ended when the fleeing vehicle collided with a box truck near Carmel Mountain Road. The impact of the collision caused the box truck to overturn.
